What to do in and around Royston

Royston Golf Club

The club is particularly interesting as it is situated on Therfield Heath, which is very rugged chalk heathland and is dotted with iron age Tumuli and a long barrow, from the top of the course there are very good views as far as Cambridge. Duxford Imperial War Museum

The imperial war museum has a fantastic display of all types of military hardware, there are all sorts here, TSR2, B52, U2, tank museum it really is a day out, I particularly like having a nose round in the hangers where they are restoring the exhibits, the museum itself is based on a 1930s fighter base and was the home of Douglas Bader and Lee Mallory's big wing in the Second World War to find out more duxford.iwm.org.uk

Shepreth Wildlife Park

Wimpole Hall

Cambridge University Botanic Garden

The Fitzwilliam Museum

Punting on the River Cam
